WHAT IS AFCEA?

The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) is the only professional association linking military, government, and defence and non-defence industry in the fields of communications, electronics, command and control, computer science, teleprocessing and intelligence systems. It is a non-profit, non political organization with no commercial interest.
HOW TO JOIN?
To become a member in the AFCEA Helsinki Chapter simply set the CHAPTER PREFERENCE field in your membership form to HELSINKI. This chapter collects no local fees so you only need to join AFCEA International.

WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN AFCEA?
AFCEA membership entitles you to participate in the activities of the AFCEA chapter in your locality where you can meet and exchange ideas and information with members of industry, the armed forces and government officials.

Chapter provide local meetings and symposia with expert panels of qualified speakers who present the latest information on current and future technology and both civil and military requirements directly to you.

AFCEA Chapter activities provide you with an informal, professional environment in which to work with your associates toward achieving Free World security in a unique forum.

SIGNAL MAGAZINE

AFCEA's highly respected professional journal is read b 40,000 members and subscribers in 80 countries and 85 government agencies and military commands.

Signal provides members with informative, authoritative articles by established national and international leaders on the latest capabilities, government requirements, studies, develoments and concepts in communication/electronics, command & control, computer sciences, teleprocessing and intelligence systems (C4I).

INTERNATIONAL CONVENTIONS/ CONFERENCES/ SYMPOSIA
During four days in June over 29,000 attendees from more than 50 nations gather in Washington, D.C. at the world's largest communications/electronics Convention/Exposition.

A three-day Conference and Exposition in January for military, government and industry leaders in C4I from North America, Western Europe and the Pacific Basin nations.

Two annual European Communications - Electronic Symposia; one in fall in Brussels and one in the spring in another major European city. Both symposia addressing significant communications, command and control considerations and exhibiting the newest equipment in this area.

An annual AFCEA Far East Conference and Exposition for Pacific and Indian Ocean nations.
